As of A.Y. 2012/2013, Bologna University’s School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation coordinates the teaching of its Degree Courses, as activated by the Departments belonging to the School.

The School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation aims to produce professionals with a thorough knowledge of various languages and their literatures and cultures (Bologna Campus), as well as top-ranking professional specialists in the fields of Language Mediation, Interpreting and Translation (Forlì campus).

A gamut of subjects

The School’s teaching programme includes a range of humanistic degree programmes combining language training with literature and cultural history (Bologna Campus), as well as more technical degree programmes in the fields of language mediation, translation and interpreting (Forlì Campus), the aim being to meet the demands of an ever-more global job market.

Campuses

The School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation divides into the Bologna Campus and the Forlì Campus. The Dean of the School is based in Bologna.

Officers and governing bodies

The School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation is governed by the Dean and the School Board. A Joint Student-Teacher Committee has also been set up.
